Why are we moving to a new pension scheme?
There are three main reasons:

We are getting older - And as a result, there are more retired people and fewer people working. This means that pensions need to be paid out for a longer period.

We change jobs more often - The labor market is changing. The new system is better suited to today's time.

Pension moves with the economy - If the economy is doing well, your pension may increase faster. Is the economy doing poorly? Then your pension may also decrease faster.

The Future Pensions Act has been in effect since July 1, 2023. The old rules worked well for a long time. But a lot has changed in recent years.
